Scarpa F1 Boot Mods for Racing

The Scarpa F1 is the standard for fast touring and rando racing. A few slight modifications make these boots even better.
1. Use zip-ties and/or duct tape to secure the top strap. If you do not "fix" this buckle in place for a race, it will slip (open) during a transition if you apply any pressure. See photo
2. Mark the boot duckbill directly above the pin-lines as in the photo. This greatly helps in lining up the boot with the binding pins as quickly as possible.
