WTB One-sy race suit!
Submitted by mtngeek on August 9, 2009 - 11:34am
If there is anyone out there who has a one or two piece race suit they wouldn't mind parting at a economical price? I would love to buy it from you. Size medium would do it. I'm a college student so I don't have alot of cash. Dynafit, skitrab,skimo.org etc I don't care what it says. I raced the powder keg and nationals last year and my cycling clothing was ok at best. Cheers, and thanks for looking!

Ski Mo Suit
I saw this as an add on skimountaineering.org. Might want to ask someone that has raced in Europe if they're any good, but for 140 euro (~$200) + shipping...it sounds tough to beat.

Suits for Sale
I still have 2 suits for sale: 1 Berkner(Texner) from Switzerland, size L (like M/L). Red and white (like the swiss team a about 4 years ago). The white has turned ever so slightly pink--you barely can tell) from machine washing it. It is is excellent shape and has beacon, munchies and skin pockets plus a hood and tummy skin flaps. 50$ plus shipping.
1 Crazy Idea suit from Italy, size large. Two outer skin pouches on front, plus exterior munchies zip pocket and interior beacon pocket, hood, orange and black. 2 years old, but used less than 10 times. New, over 200$(current model at $275) sell for $95.
Both suits are plus shipping from France where I live, but it is not too much (10-20$). Please email me directly to get my attention: michael@high-alpine.com These suits are both great deals and I could easily sell them on skimo over here, but want to get you guys in the US in lycra! Thanks, Michael Silitch
One-sy
Hey,
I have a Dynafit Tractive Force suit that is a little too small for me. It is a euro size 50 which is between a medium and a large. It is their newest race suit and is awesome. I used it at 6-8 races last year and it is in good shape. Email me at katieandbrandon@hotmail.com or call 406-270-5124.
Thanks,
Brandon
race suits
Hi I do have a couple cheap race suits, one a Berkner (same as texner, but ealier model) in excellent shape except the color ran a little when I washed it. Size a smaller large or larger mediumish, in red with white (slight pink tint). Hood, beacon pocket, skin pocket, munchies pocket. $50 plus shipping. Michael Silitch.
Feedback on Crazy Idea Race Suit
I bought a used race suit last year -- has the Crazy Idea and SkiMo.org logos on it, with a tag that references Valeria Colturi (sp?).
I don't know exactly how it compares to the current model, but mine is very well designed. I'd wear it for all my ski touring were I not concerned about resistance to potentially foul weather and assorted below-treeline shrubbery. And sure is a huge improvement over previously using my alpine downhill race suit and nordic race suit.
Some key features:
-- hood
-- extra layer up front to protect core
-- separate zipped fly
-- large chest pockets that are secure yet easily opened
-- meshy-type material in back (i.e., where your pack would cover it)
Feature that seems pointless:
-- main zipper is two way
