Pierre Gignoux boots?

Anyone out there have a guess at the chances of a North American obtaining a pair of Pierre Gignoux boots? Though it may be a little hard to ski with only one arm and one leg after I pay for them! Any advice appreciated.

i purchased a pair of his bindings this fall and he sent them to me in california. i didn't contact him beforehand. i just placed my order and sent him a check as his checkout process asks.

i don't know if this helps or hurts your chances, but there was a press release on skimo.org that crazy idea will now be doing the distribution for his boots. here's their site: http://www.crazyidea.it/

good luck

Thanks Crowley.
How long did it take the bindings to come? I'm in B.C. so could be a little longer.

it took about 6 weeks from

it took about 6 weeks from the day i mailed my check to the day the bindings arrived. my guess is that means he mailed them almost immediately.

Gignoux Boots- durability

All/Mike Silitch, I'm seriously considering purchasing the PG XPMountain- I understand that they should provide a considerable improvement in downhill performance from my F-1s (which I use for ALL my skiing to incl Lift/Resort) as well as a significant weight savings; however, I am curious what penalty I'll gain in terms of durability.. any comments?
