April 11th, San Juans Rando Update

All is a go for next weekend's race on the time schedule as listed on the Races tab.

We're watching snow conditions and will make a final course choice on Thursday morning. As of this morning the full, the fixed-line bootpack section is likely, but snow is forcast for today which may change conditions by next week.

Many of you have emailed asking to preview the course. As this is an all-backcountry course, your help in skiing-in the skin tracks (and boot packs) is welcome. I will set an initial skin track marked with green pin flags (up and down) on Thursday morning - by noon on Thursday all will be ready to go - note the course is clockwise.
